Obtaining and hosting files

The IBM WebSphere Commerce Patterns 2.1.0.1 software libraries for multiplatform does not come with any files to serve. Use the following information to obtain the required files for the specific IBM WebSphere Commerce Patterns V2.1.0.1 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual instances that you want to deploy.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the software installation packages to host:
DB2 Database Enterprise Edition Version 10.5.0.4, or higher Version 10.5 fix pack
Get the DB2 installation file from the DB2 technote, Download DB2 Fix Packs by version for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
    1. Select DB2 V10.5 Fix Pack 4, or higher.
    2. On the DB2 10.5 fix pack page, expand the section for Linux 64-bit, x86-64 on AMD64 and Intel EM64T.
    3. Select the "DB2 Server Fix Pack" file.
Ensure that the file is in a compressed .tar archive (either a *.tar.gz or *.tgz file).
    WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Enterprise Edition
Get the installation file from the Passport Advantage. Search for part number CZ6CDML, then download the associated installation file. Ensure that the file is in .zip format (that is, ensure that its extension is .zip).
WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 8
Get the installation file from the Passport Advantage. Search for part number CN2BJML, then download the associated installation file. Ensure that the file is in .zip format (that is, ensure that its extension is .zip).
WebSphere Commerce V7 Fix Pack 9 for Server
Get the WebSphere Commerce Server Version 7.0.0.9. Ensure that the file is in .PAK format (that is, ensure that its extension is .pak). For more information about the WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0.0.9 Fix Pack, see the fix pack technote.
WebSphere Commerce V7 Update Installer 7.0.0.9
Get the installation file. Ensure that the file is in .zip format (that is, ensure that its extension is .zip). For more information, see the UPDI technote.
  2. Use SCP or SFTP to transfer files to the library.
It is recommended to use a non-root user to log in and upload files. For files to be available through the HTTP server, place the files under the /opt/IBM/HTTPServer/htdocs/software/ directory.
  3. For each installation file, note the URL to the image.
    For example, https://library.mycompany.com/software/db2.tar.gz
This information is needed in subsequent steps to deploy the non-production or production pattern.
  4. Note the user name and password that is needed to access the files on the file server.
