Deploying the virtual system pattern

Provide details about the virtual system pattern in IBM PureApplication Software, IBM PureApplication System, or IBM PureApplication Service. Then, deploy the IBM WebSphere Commerce Patterns 2.1.0.1 software library for Red Hat Enterprise Linux for 64-bit x86.

Note: Deploying virtual system patterns is similar to deploying virtual application patterns under Patterns > Virtual Application Patterns.

Procedure

  1. In the IBM PureApplication Software user interface, click Patterns > Virtual System Patterns. The Virtual System Patterns pane displays a list of existing virtual system patterns.
  2. Select the IBM WebSphere Commerce Patterns 2.1.0.1 software libraries for multiplatform pattern that you want to deploy. A description and general information about the virtual system pattern displays in the right pane.
  3. Click the Deploy icon on the toolbar.
  4. Provide the following information.
    Virtual System Name
Enter the name of the virtual system instance in which to deploy this virtual system pattern.
    Choose Environment
Use the defaults that are provided, or select the environment profile, cloud group, IP group, or priority if choices exist.
    Schedule deployment
By default this parameter is set to Start now. Change this setting if you want to wait to initiate deployment.
    Component attributes
Review and, if necessary, change previously set values such as user IDs and passwords, or disk size in GB. The input parameters are organized by components. Click each component to review or to update the attributes.
Note: If you leave empty any attributes that are marked as Required, the component is marked with a blue/white dot. For more information about each of the parameters, see Parameters defined for the virtual system pattern.
  5. Click Quick Deploy to start deployment.
  6. Expand the Virtual Machine perspective folder.
  7. In the Consoles section, find and click Library. Provide the non-root user ID and password for authentication. You can now connect to the HTTP server through HTTPS.

Results

Your virtual system is deployed with the following status message, Virtual system is ready.

You now have a WebSphere Commerce software library environment to serve files through the HTTPS protocol.
