When you load data into an authoring server, you might encounter a business object lock.

Problem

You might get the following error when you load data into an authoring server:

The business object could not be modified because it is locked by previous changes made in a workspace.
The locked business object: {0}

This error occurs because the object you are trying to modify is locked by another task.

Wait for the business object to be unlocked by the other task.
Override the business object lock. Refer to Scenarios: Workspace locking for the Data Load utility to understand why this error occurs and how to override the object lock.
