When starting the WebSphere Commerce test server in the Development environment once
Communications Enabled Applications is enabled for coshopping, the error message UDP Channel
UDP_1 Initialization failed.. might display.
Problem
When successfully enabling Communications Enabled Applications (CEA)
for coshopping, the CEA widgets use the assigned port. Email and instant messaging applications
might try to use the same port. In the Development Environment when you start the WebSphere Commerce
test server, CEA will access the port. If another application is using the port, the error message
UDP Channel UDP_1 Initialization failed.. might display.
Solution
The warning message displays when another application is using the
same port as CEA. Close the application and proceed to use the Development Environment. You can
ignore the message if the conflicting application does not affect any WebSphere Commerce
features.
