Starting or stopping a WebSphere Commerce cluster

The WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console is used to stop and start the cluster. Clustering, if configured, provides failover protection and workload balancing

Procedure

  1. To start the cluster:
    1. If they are not started, start the node agent on each node in the cluster. Ensure that you start the node agent on each node as the WebSphere Commerce non-root user.
    2. If it is not started, start the deployment manager.
    3. Start the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager Administrative Console and log on to the console.
    4. In the Navigation area, expand Servers and click Clusters.
    5. Select the check box next to the cluster you want to start and click Start.
    6. Log out of the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager Administrative Console.
  2. To stop the cluster:
    1. Start the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager Administrative Console and log on to the console.
    2. In the Navigation area, expand Servers and click Clusters.
    3. Select the check box next to the cluster you want to start and click Stop.
    4. Log out of the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager Administrative Console.
