Administering Unica Discover involves configuring and integrating the Unica Discover client framework with your web applications or mobile native applications, installing and administering the databases used by Unica Discover, defining event objects and configuring events, hit attributes, dimensions, and other object attributes used by Unica Discover to monitor mission-critical metrics of your web application's performance.

      Unica Discover is customer experience management (CEM) software that performs the following functions:

      Discover software running on computers in your data center is configured to see every byte of data exchanged between your web servers and the browsers on your visitors' computers. Discover passively captures the bi-directional data stream and forwards a copy of each relevant packet of that data to a server running the Discover system.

Logging In

Procedure

Launch a supported browser.
Enter the following URL into your browser:
```
http://<servername>/portal 
```
where: <servername> is the hostname of the machine on which the Unica Discover Portal has been installed by your Discover administrator.
Enter your login name and password.
- If Discover is configured to use the Windows™ Active Directory system (NT authentication), your login is the same as the name and password that you use for Windows™.
Click Login.
The default start page for your primary user group is displayed.
