Uninstalling the Z and I Emulator for Web Using GUI Mode

You can use the Install Anywhere GUI to uninstall the Z and I Emulator for Web Version 2.0.

Follow the steps below for the uninstallation:

Stop all Z and I Emulator for Web related applications (For example, Deployment Wizard and HCL Z and I Emulator for Web Service Manager).

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. In Program, go to Uninstall a Program.



  3. Select the appropriate file to Uninstall.



  4. Right-click on the selected file and Click Uninstall.

  5. Review the summary information. Click Uninstall.
    • If the uninstall is successful, the program displays a message that indicates success.
    • If the uninstall is not successful, click View log to troubleshoot the problem.
  6. The Uninstall HCL Z and I Emulator for Web screen displays
  7. Select the Uninstalling… radio button and click Uninstall.
  8. Once the Uninstall is complete, the following screen get displayed as below.

  9. Click Finish.

Z and I Emulator for Web supports GUI uninstallation, refer the below table. The uninstall file exists on the Z and I Emulator for Web installed path → "install" directory.

  • All files and folders will be deleted except ‘private’ directory.
  • User created files are retained on uninstallation.
  • AIX, Linux, and Ubuntu Process “admin.NCServiceManager” Process are stopped on uninstallation.
  • Product Symbolic links are deleted on uninstallation
  • Z and I Emulator for Web uninstall log are stored on User temp Path (%temp%\ HCL Z and I Emulator for Web\Logs). File name format with product name and time stamp (HCL_Z and I Emulator for Web_Uninstall_07_05_2021_10_33_33.log).
    Note: HCL Z and I Emulator for Web for AIX, Linux, and Ubuntu supported Platform users. In case, if the process are not deleted, please stop the process, and delete it manually.
