About this publication

HCL Workload Automation for Z Managing the Workload was created by combining what used to be two separate publications:
  • Planning and Scheduling the Workload

Describes organizing when your workload runs, and the dependencies between parts of the workload. The terms planning and scheduling are used interchangeably and describe these activities.

  • Controlling and Monitoring the Workload

Describes managing the workload when it becomes part of a plan and is run with real dates and times.

The term scheduler, when used in this publication, refers to HCL Workload Automation for Z. The term DB2®, when used in this publication, also includes references to DATABASE 2 and DB2 Universal Database.
