Installing the remote command-line client

Install the remote command-line client to run conman commands from any client workstation that can reach the master domain manager and authenticate successfully.

The remote command-line client is automatically installed with fault-tolerant agents and can be manually installed on any supported client workstation.

To install the client, perform the following steps:
  1. Ensure the operating system on the target workstation is supported. You can find an up-to-date list in the Supported Operating Systems report available at Product Requirements. Check the Components column to find out which operating systems support the remote command-line client.
  2. Ensure the workstation where you plan to install the remote command-line client can reach the master domain manager and authenticate successfully.
  3. Copy the compressed file for your target operating system to the workstation where you plan to install the remote command-line client.
  4. Decompress the file to a directory of your choice. The remote command-line client executable is stored in the bin directory.
