This section describes how to install Link using the Windows Installer.

After installation, to start and stop Link, complete the following steps:

  Unica Link is a component that can be installed separately from the Unica application.

    Unica Link requires the Link Runtime server to be installed.

  After installing Link, setup the custom SSL certificates for the Link web UI and the Link runtime application server.

  To enhance security and safeguard sensitive information, encrypt the password stored in the properties file to add a layer of protection to the data.

Starting and stopping Unica Link

After installation, to start and stop Link, complete the following steps:

In the Command window, change the current folder to C:\HCL\Link_<version-number>\config.
To start the server run the start.bat command. The server may require several minutes, depending on the performance of your computer.
To stop Link, run the stop.bat command. The server should stop in a few seconds.
