Templates Definition page

Use the links and commands on the Templates Definition page to work with templatesassemble template components into plan, program, project, marketing object, and invoice templates.

The page is organized by object types and lists all the existing templates for these object types. The sections, from top to bottom, are in the following order:

  • Plan template (note there is only one template for plans; you can edit the template but not create another)
  • Program templates
  • Project templates
  • Invoice template (like plans, you can only edit the existing template)
  • Marketing object templates (one section for each marketing object type for this Marketing Operations installation)

From this page, you can perform the following actions:

Action Description
Edit Click the template name to edit the template.
Enable or disable Click the link to toggle the state of the template, from Enabled to Disabled and back.

When a template is enabled, you can use it to create an object.

Delete Click to delete a template from the system. The link is only available for templates that do not have any objects that are created from them.
Add

Click Add template in the section of the list for the type of template you want to add a template.

Click the Add icon () to add a template. From the icon's drop-down list, select the type of object for which you want to create the template.

Open folder Click the folder name to open the folder.
Jump to Folder Click Jump to Folder to navigate to and open another template folder.
Move items

Select the items to move, then click the Move Items icon () to display a screen where you can choose a new folder for selected items.

Select the items to move, then click Move Item(s) to. You then select a template folder to which to move the template.

Add folder

Click Add Folder to create a template folder.

Click the Add Folder icon () to create a template folder.
