Dashboards are configurable pages that contain information useful to groups of users who fill various roles within your company. The components that make up dashboards are called portlets. The Deliver reports pack contains two pre-defined dashboard portlets that you can configure for your installation.

The Recent Email Bounces dashboard report presents data for various types of email bounces as a bar chart. The chart presents current bounce responses for the five most recent mailings that were sent before the current day.

  Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.
- Selecting email recipients
  If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign. The list contains the recipient information that is used to address and personalize each message. You create a recipient list by configuring a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart.

  Unica Deliver provides message composition and personalization features that you can use to design graphically rich messages that deliver a marketing message with content that can automatically change to fit the characteristics of the message recipient.

  Landing pages in Deliver are personalized web pages and online forms hosted by Unica that you can link to personalized marketing messages that you send with Deliver. You create and maintain landing pages using the same composition and personalization features that you use to create personalized messages. You can also configure hosted landing pages as online forms to solicit and accept responses from message recipients.

  Digital marketers construct email, landing pages, WhatsApp messages, and text messages in Unica Deliver in the Deliver Message Editor. Marketers without specific HTML editing experience can create valid, full-featured HTML email and landing pages with the editing and personalization tools in the Message Editor.
- Creating email and landing page templates
  Email and landing page templates are documents that you create outside of the Deliver Message Editor to define the layout of personalized email, hosted landing pages. The design of the template guides the design of the message. To create personalized email, marketers add content to the template by modifying the template or by using editing tools that are provided in the Message Editor.

  The Deliver Message Editor provide several ways to insert images and videos into personalized messages. You can add images and videos from the Content Library or add them from external sources when you send each message.

  The Deliver Message Editor provides several ways to add links to personalized email messages, and landing pages that are hosted by Unica. Apply link attributes and inline styles to control how the links appear and how the target of the links display. Deliver tracks link clicks and stores the data in the Deliver system tables.

  Use the Preview feature in the Message Editor to see how a personalized message might appear to message recipients. Preview simulates how personalized parts of the Deliver document used to create the email, landing page, SMS, WhatsApp may change according to the personal characteristics of each recipient.

  Publishing the communication in the Deliver Message Editor makes the communication and the resources it contains available for use in a personalized message or landing page. Publishing a communication does not transmit the communication to message recipients or landing page visitors. However, to send a message through Deliver, you must first publish the message in the Message Editor.

  Personalization fields provide the means to add recipient-specific information from your marketing database to a SMS, email, WhatsApp, push notifications . Personalization fields are also used in rules that control how conditionalized content displays in each personalized message.

In Unica Deliver, you can define two types of conditional content.   Deliver provides a template-based scripting language for creating self-contained scripts that provide a way to personalize content in ways that you cannot easily duplicate in the Deliver Message Editor.
- Offers in personalized email
  You can add offers that you define in Unica Campaign to personalized email that you create and send through Unica Deliver. Including offers in your marketing email gives you an opportunity to deliver a timely and targeted call to action to your audience. The system collects the offer responses and makes the data available in the Campaign contact and response history for use in Campaign performance reports.

    Deliver provides various reports to help you analyze your mailings from several perspectives, including mailing performance, mailing execution history, message deliverability, and how recipients view your marketing messages.

      You can access performance reports from the Deliver Analytics page. To run a report, you must specify a campaign in Unica Campaign and select one or more mailing instances that are associated with the campaign.

      In Unica Campaign, each campaign contains the Analysis tab to access information about campaigns, offers, cells, or segments. When you enable Deliver in Campaign, the Analysis tab provides access to Deliver performance reports.

The system processes the latest contact and response data with scheduled database stored procedures. The report identifies individual processing runs, number of records that were processed, and run completion time.

    The Detailed Link Report provides link response data for Deliver mailings that are associated with a specific campaign. The report provides detailed link click-through data for links in email messages, and for hosted landing pages that are linked to the email.

    The A/B Testing Performance Report provides detailed mailing and response data that are generated by a single A/B test. You can run the report at any time before or after the system declares a test winner and completes the mailing.

- Overview

Recent Email Bounce Responses

The Recent Email Bounces dashboard report presents data for various types of email bounces as a bar chart. The chart presents current bounce responses for the five most recent mailings that were sent before the current day.

The report contains the following bounce information.


Bounce type	Description
Mail Bounce	The system cannot deliver the email and cannot positively characterize the delivery failure as either a hard or soft bounce.
Hard Bounce	The system cannot deliver the email because of a permanent problem with the receiving mailbox. For example, the destination mailbox does not exist.
Soft Bounce	The system cannot deliver the email because of a temporary problem with the receiving mailbox. The message might reach the intended recipient if you send it again. For example, the recipient mailbox is full.
ISP Feedback	The system successfully delivered the email message, but the Internet Service Provider (ISP) sent notification that the recipient reported the message as unwanted email (spam). This response is represented in the Detailed Bounce report as an abuse complaint.
Out of Office	The system cannot deliver the email because the recipient set an Out-of-Office reply for the destination mailbox. The message might reach the recipient if you send it later. For example, the message might be delivered after the recipient changes the mailbox status.
Technical Issue	The system cannot deliver the email because of a problem with the email infrastructure used to transmit and deliver the message to the recipient mailbox.
Challenge/Response	The system cannot deliver the email message because the ISP that received the email processed the message through a challenge/response SPAM filter. Challenge/response filters require human interaction to allow email delivery.
Other	Email messages were returned for reasons that are not categorized separately in the Recent Email Bounce Responses dashboard report or in the Detailed Bounce Report.
Unknown	The system cannot determine the reason why the email message was returned.
Invalid address	The system did not send the email message because the email address is not formatted correctly or is listed in the global email suppression list.
