Planning the Contact Optimization upgrade

Upgrade your installation of Contact Optimization after understanding the guidelines that are specific to your current version of Contact Optimization.

Note: Versions of Contact Optimization previous to 9.x were named Optimize.

Use the following guidelines for upgrading Contact Optimization:

Source version Upgrade path

Version 7.3.0 and later
Complete the following steps to upgrade Contact Optimization to version 10.1:
  1. Upgrade to Contact Optimization version 8.6.0
  2. Upgrade to Contact Optimization version 10.0 by following the instructions in the Contact Optimization 10.0 Upgrade guide.
  3. Perform an in-place upgrade to version 10.1.

Versions 8.6.0 and later
Complete the following steps to upgrade Contact Optimization to version 10.1:
  1. Upgrade to Contact Optimization version 10.0 by following the instructions in the Contact Optimization 10.0 Upgrade guide.
  2. Perform an in-place upgrade to version 10.1.

Versions 10.0.0.x

Perform an in-place upgrade over your current version of Contact Optimization.
Important: Contact Optimization and Campaign must be at the same version level. For example, you must upgrade Campaign to version 10.1 before you upgrade Contact Optimization to version 10.1.
