Campaign and Engage Integration Guide for IBM Marketing Cloud
Configuring the Unica Campaign and Engage integration
To ensure a successful integration of Campaign and Engage, the following products must be configured: Unica Campaign, IBM Engage, IBM UBX, and IBM UBX Toolkit.
IBM Engage configuration requirements for Unica Campaign offer integration
Unica Campaign offers are available in IBM Engage. To enable integration you must provide the required information to your Engage Provisioning Team.

    The integration of Unica Campaign and IBM Engage combines the marketing segmentation tools of Unica Campaign with the messaging capabilities of IBM Marketing Cloud.

      Creating response tables is a one-time task that is performed as part of the integration configuration. However, if you are using Unica Campaign version 10.0.0.1 or later, this step is not applicable for your setup. From Unica Campaign version 10.0.0.1 onwards, when you use Unica Campaign to download events, the response tracking tables are created automatically.
    - Setting the sync field for audience information
      When you complete a test run or a production run, audience information is exported by Unica Campaign to IBM Engage. For the Email and Push processes, you can specify the fields that must be used as sync fields for the audience information.

      When Unica Campaign and Engage are integrated, Unica Campaign Engage import service execution logs can be enabled in campaign_log4j.properties file available in the <Campaign_home>/conf/ folder.

    To support the Campaign and Engage integration, response tracking tables are required to store data about user responses to email, SMS, and push events.

IBM Engage configuration requirements for Unica Campaign offer integration

Unica Campaign offers are available in IBM Engage. To enable integration you must provide the required information to your Engage Provisioning Team.

Note: Only Tracked HyperLink , ClickStream, and FileDownload are supported for Unica Campaign offer integration.

Information exchange

When Unica Campaign and IBM Engage are integrated, the offer information from Campaign is used by IBM Engage in emails. When a user configures an email template in IBM Engage and attaches an offer from Unica Campaign to dynamic content links in this email template, the API call for the offer information is made from the browser to the UNica Campaign server. EasyXDM is used to handle this communication.

Important: No API calls are made from the on-cloud IBM Engage server to the on-premise Unica Campaign server and hence no firewall changes are required.

Enabling integration

To enable this feature, you need to provide the following information to your Engage Provisioning Team. An Engage Provisioning user can enable Engage from Settings > Organization Settings > Integrations > Unica Campaign Integration.

Note: If you configured Unica Campaign or Unica Platform by using your Tivoli or SiteMinder login information, the API URL is http://<Tivoli_Host>/<Campaign_JUNCTION>/Campaign/jsp/engage/engageHome.jsp. Example:
