How do I delete a message on an Android device?

You can delete a message from your Android device in one of four ways.

On smaller devices, when the mail list displays full screen, swipe left on the message to open the swipe action menu, then select the Trash icon .
Long press the message you would like to delete. This begins the selection mode, where you can tap on any additional mail you would like to delete. Select the Delete icon on the action bar.
Open the message and select the Delete icon on the action bar.
