Copy data used by IBM®
Domino® data from the IBM
Sametime® 8.5.2x Community Server to the Sametime 9.0.1 Community Server.
About this task
At a minimum, you must copy the VPUserInfo.nsf database file, which contains
user storage and privacy information, such as contacts lists. You might also have customized
templates or other files that you also want to retain in Sametime 9.0.1.
Procedure
- On the Sametime 8.5.2x
Community Server, locate the VPUserInfo.nsf file
in the Domino data
directory.
The location of the Domino data directory
depends on the version of Domino installed on the
server, and whether it was upgraded for a previous version of Domino.
- Copy the VPUserInfo.nsf file.
- If you customized data files, templates, or applications
(.ntf, .mdm, .scr, .bmp, .mac,
.smi, or .tbl files),copy
them now.

On every Sametime 9.0.1 Community Server, paste the
VPUserInfo.nsf (plus any other files that you want to migrate) into the Domino data directory, overwriting any existing versions of
these files.
Copy the files to every Sametime 9 Community Server.
The location of the Domino data directory might be
different on the Sametime 9.0.1 Community Server than it
was on the Sametime 8.5.2x Community Server.
