Deploying
IBM® Sametime® consists of a variety of servers and clients, and can be deployed to suit many different environments. The deployment instructions are organized by feature set, beginning with the minimum components that are necessary to support instant messaging, and then expanding the deployment to include features such as audio and video support, and conferencing.
Deploying meetings
Meeting features are provided primarily by the IBM® Sametime® Meeting Server, which creates online "meeting rooms" where users can present information and share applications. If you deploy the Sametime Media Manager, conferences can include audio and video features as well.
Deploying Sametime® Meeting Server
Follow the instructions for your operating system to install an IBM® Sametime® Meeting Server. Read the system requirements to ensure that you know the minimum supported software requirements.
Installing the Recording Capturer Server
Run the installation program on the computer on which you plan to install an IBM® Sametime® Recording Capturer Server.

Procedure

Configure the LDAP repository by completing this procedure: Configuring a single, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol repository in a new configuration under Federated repositories
Import the existing LTPA key from the existing WebSphere® cell on the Sametime System Console to the new WebSphere cell on the Recording Capturer Server as explained in the topic Importing a shared LTPA key to enable SSO for a server in a different cell.
