Adding external contacts to the Sametime Connect Contacts List

After you install and configure Sametime® Gateway Server, and add an external community or clearinghouse community, your users can add external contacts to their Sametime Contact List. Give these instructions to your Sametime users so they will know how to add external contacts to their Contact List.

Procedure

  1. In the Sametime Connect Client client, click File > Add > Contact.
  2. Select the Add external user by email address check box.
  3. Type the external contact's email address.
  4. Select an existing group, or type a new group name, in the Add to group field.
  5. Click Add
