Stopping the meeting recording

An in-progress meeting recording can be stopped by the meeting owner or moderator. If the recording is not stopped, it is automatically stopped when no sound is detected for ten minutes or when the last person leaves the meeting.

About this task

Guest users do not have access to the meeting recordings. You must be an authenicated user to access a meeting recording.


  1. Scroll over to the bottom of the meeting window and click the More actions icon ().
  2. Select Stop recording.
    The Stop Recording window displays. You can select to share the meeting recording or not share it. The option to share the recording in the meeting chat is determined by the meeting owner when creating the meeting. If a meeting moderator is stopping the recording, the moderator cannot change the default sharing option set by the meeting owner.
  3. Click Stop to continue.
