Configuring QoS (quality of service) settings for audio and video transmissions

Improve audio and video transmissions in an IBM® Sametime® deployment by configuring QoS settings on the Video MCU server and on clients.

About this task

Sametime supports QoS through the use of the DSCP codes in the differentiated services field of IP packets. This method classifies data packets as they arrive on a network so that different policies can be applied to them. You can support DSCP codes in your Sametime deployment by configuring settings on the Sametime Video MCU, the web client, and the Sametime Connect Client.
