Tuning LDAP searches

You can manage advanced configuration settings to define the minimum number of characters in the search string required to perform a search.

The ST_DB_LDAP_MIN_WILDCARD setting in the [Directory] section of the sametime.ini file specifies the minimum number of characters to match when searching the LDAP user using wild card characters. When trying to resolve a user or group with a name that is too short, the Sametime® Community Server does not search the LDAP server.
