    - Testing Java™ Message Service (JMS) systems
      Use the generic JMS plug-in to connect HCL OneTest™ API to a wide range of EAI platforms, which includes any vendor that provides an implementation of this Java™ standard. JMS provides a way of separating the application from the transport layer of providing data. The same Java classes can be used to communicate with different JMS providers by using the JNDI information for a specific provider. The classes first use a connection factory to connect to the queue or topic, and then use populate and send or publish the messages. On the receiving side, the clients then receive or subscribe to the messages
    - Testing Java™ objects
      You can import Plain Old Java™ Objects (POJOs) from JAR files into HCL OneTest™ API in order to parse and construct messages containing the serialized forms of those objects. You can construct and parse the Java objects and perform validation, but you cannot test the objects directly.

      You can import serializable .NET objects from .NET assembly files (.exe or .dll) into HCL OneTest™ API and apply them to messages in the same way as you would apply a schema. A service-based test or stub can then send and receive a message containing a serialized form of a .NET object from the assembly file. You can construct and parse the .NET objects and perform validation, but you cannot test the objects directly.

      You can migrate Postman collections and environments that you created in Postman to HCL OneTest™ API. Operations, transports, tests and stubs are automatically created during migration and you can run the tests and stubs in HCL OneTest API.

        Adding a registered CentraSite WSDL as a synchronization source
        The integration between HCL OneTest™ API and CentraSite relies on the testing of the services (WSDLs) that are in the CentraSite registry that uses HCL OneTest API. The registered WSDLs can be imported into HCL OneTest API from CentraSite (by using UDDI), then tests and test suites can be created and executed.
        Configuring test suite reports for CentraSite
        When you view the registered services from the Asset catalog in the CentraSite registry, the Specification tab contains a list of reports. The available report categories can differ from server to server, but there is typically a core set of fields or categories that are common among all servers.

Publishing stubs to CentraSite

If HCL OneTest™ API creates one or more stubs that are used in the validation of all or part of a registered CentraSite service, those stubs can be published as simulations that appear under the GH Tester tab for the specified CentraSite service. Other HCL OneTest™ API users can then download the stubs for use in their own project.

About this task

A stub that is the child of a service component that is generated from a CentraSite WSDL can be published to CentraSite:

Procedure

Right-click it in the Test Factory and select Export to registry from the menu.

When you are publishing the stub, you are asked whether you want to publish it to the service component that contains it.
If you choose Yes, the stub is published to the containing service component on the CentraSite server. If you choose No, the registry browser is displayed. You can then locate and select a different asset to which the stub is published.
When published, all of the required HCL OneTest™ API components and test artifacts that are required to execute the stub are packaged into a .zip archive. Once the stub is successfully published, a confirmation dialog is displayed to the user.

In CentraSite, published stubs can be seen under the GH Tester tab when you are viewing a service from the Asset catalog.
