Command Line

When the Use Command Line property is set, the Command Line card setting provides the adapter-specific commands to connect to the data source and the ouput of the card data.

For example, if the data is being written to a file, the Command Line specifies the name of the output file. If the data is being stored in a database table, the Command Line might include the database name, user ID, password, and so on.

The command syntax for the source and target adapter commands is detailed in the adapter-specific documentation. The maximum length of a source, or target adaapter command, is 2000 bytes. Limitations to the maximum adapter command length might apply to some adapters.
