Writing Your Own Alarm Script

Alternatively, you can write your own shell script, batch file, or binary program that contains the event-alarm parameters. When an event occurs, the database server invokes this executable file and passes it the event-alarm parameters (see Event Alarm Parameters ). For example, your script can use the _id and _msg parameters to take administrative action when a table failure occurs. Set ALARMPROGRAM to the full pathname of this executable file.
