Using ALARMPROGRAM to Capture Events

On UNIX™, use the alarmprogram.sh and on Windows™, use the alarmprogram.bat shell script, for handling event alarms and starting automatic log backups. For the setup instructions, see ALARMPROGRAM configuration parameter.

To automate logical-log backups only, two ready-made scripts are provided: log_full.[sh|bat] and no_log.[sh|bat]. Set ALARMPROGRAM to the full path name of the script. For information, see ALARMPROGRAM configuration parameter.
