    • Preparing the Domino server

Before you configure the additional products that are part of the trial, complete the following steps.

      • Generating a key ring file for TLS connections

To set up TLS on the trial server, you need a key ring containing a server certificate from a third-party Internet certificate authority (CA).

      • Configuring a Web Site document

After you generate a key ring file for the Domino trial server, configure a Web Site document. The Web Site document is used to configure Web server connections. In the Web Site document you specify the name of the key ring file as well as other settings.

      • Modifying Web server Internet port and protocol settings for trial

Configure the Web ports and protocol settings in the Domino Server document.

      • Verifying connections and registering users

Verify that you can connect to the server from a web browser.

    • Configuring additional products

After you prepare the HCL Domino® server, optionally configure any of the following pre-installed products: HCL Domino® Volt, HCL Verse, HCL Traveler, HCL Domino® AppDev Pack.

    • Useful Docker commands for the trial

While administration and configuration steps are largely executed the same way for both a Domino-container-based server and non-container-based server, there are a few differences to keep in mind.
