Notes® pass-through activity logging

Notes® pass-through activity logging tracks activity that is generated by a client or a server through a pass-through connection. This includes such information as the number of bytes sent and received, the number of documents read and written, the number of transactions executed, and the duration of the pass-through session.

There are three types of activity logging records for pass-through connections:

  • Open records, which log when a pass-through connection begins
  • Checkpoint records, which log activity that occurs when a pass-through session has been open for a specified length of time
  • Close records, which consolidate information into a single record when a pass-through session ends, such as when a client logs off or disconnects from the pass-through server
