Restricting design changes

Once an application is complete and available, you decide how to protect the design from changes. An application can have a totally open design, where users can update forms and views and pass along design changes. Or an application can have a totally closed design, where users use the application "as is" and have no access to design elements.

Domino® Designer lets you control the entire design of a database, as well as individual design elements. You can restrict changes by not allowing changes to overwrite one or all design elements, or you can hide one or all design elements from users.

In almost every case, you start by making a master design copy of the application.
