Restarting the IBM HTTP servers

Once the configuration steps are completed for the IBM® HTTP servers, the servers must be restarted to pick up the changes.

About this task

Complete the following steps on each IBM HTTP server.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the server hosting the IBM HTTP Server as root.
  2. Open a terminal window.
  3. Run the following commands:
    • cd /opt/IBM/HTTPServer/bin
    • ./adminctl stop
    • ./adminctl start
    • ./apachectl -k stop
    • ./apachectl -k start
Note: After this task is complete, the IBM HTTP Server routes IBM Docs requests to the IBM Docs Proxy servers, which then route the requests to the appropriate IBM Docs application servers to enable co-editing.
