Uninstalling Viewer Extension

Silently uninstall the Viewer Extension.

About this task

Note: This uninstallation is disruptive. It takes down various HCL Connections applications as part of the process of uninstalling the extensions, and should be planned as part of a maintenance window.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the system where the File Viewer Extension installation was performed from (either the Deployment Manager or one of the Connections nodes), with the user who runs the Deployment Manager or Connections Server process.
  2. Open a command prompt and go to the IBMViewerExt4IC_Install_root(for example, /opt/IBM/IBMViewer/extension)/installer directory.
  3. Run the silent uninstallation file:
    • Linux: ./uninstall.sh
    • Windows: uninstall.bat
    If you did not specify a value for the WebSphere Application Server administrator ID and password in the command line, you are prompted to enter them now.

Results

When you finish uninstalling, check the extensionUninstall.log file for errors, and repeat this task if necessary. The log file is located in the current directory, where you run the uninstallation command.
