Updating the ClearTeam Explorer

Use the update manager to update the ClearTeam® Explorer to a newer version.

About this task

Both the ClearTeam Explorer and the ClearTeam Explorer for Eclipse provide an update manager that can search for and install updated client plug-ins.

Procedure

To update the ClearTeam Explorer or ClearTeam Explorer for Eclipse:
  1. On the main menu, click Help > Software Updates and then select Manage configuration.
  2. In the Product Configuration dialog box, select ClearTeam Explorer.
  3. From the list of Available Tasks in the Product Configuration dialog box, select Scan for Updates.
    There is a search for compatible updates to the selected version. These versions are displayed in the Search Results window of the Updates dialog box. If no compatible updates are found, no entries are displayed in the Search Results window.
  4. On the Search Results page, select ClearTeam Explorer and then click Next.
  5. On the Feature License page, read the license agreement carefully. If you accept the terms, select I accept the terms in the license agreement and then click Next.
    If any of the license terms are unacceptable, do not proceed.
  6. Click Finish.

Results

The Eclipse update manager connects to the remote update site and updates the ClearTeam Explorer for Eclipse.
