- Overview
  HCL Connections™ is a collaborative tool that makes it easy to connect with others and exchange ideas. Start sharing important information, building a network of useful contacts, and following people that interest you.
- Home page
  Use the home page as a command center to scan and manage items that need your attention. You can view your most recent project updates, check in on the people you follow, and review your action items all from one place.
- Profiles
  Use profiles to connect with others, showcase your skills, and find the people you need.
- Activities
  Use activities to keep a team informed, collect and share project resources, or to assign and track tasks.
- Files
  Using the Files app, you can upload, organize, share and collaborate on files easily. Files can be shared, tagged, organized in folders, and accessed from other applications, such as Activities and Communities.
- Communities
  Get together with people who share your interests.
- Blogs
  Use blogs to share your announcements, updates, and opinions with others.
- Forums
  Share information, brainstorm ideas, ask and answer questions, and discuss topics of mutual interest in a forum.
- Wikis
  Tap the wisdom of the crowd by building a body of knowledge in a wiki. Everyone on your team can make a contribution.
- Bookmarks
  Use Bookmarks to collect and organize shortcuts to websites.

Tailor your community experience

Quickly create a community that fit your purpose:

Creation wizard makes community setup easy
Choose from templates with prepopulated content to support your specific objective.
Highlights page is now the standard landing page for new communiities, and is even easier to lay out and customize. Easily add widgets from the traditional Overview page as well as Highlights widgets.

Use Connections and Microsoft Teams together

New integrations with Microsoft Teams save you time from both ends!

From Connections:: Awareness icons for a person's name open a direct chat in Teams.; Share a Connections page as a post in a Teams channel
From Teams:: A new Messaging Extensions icon in the conversation toolbar lets you easily find Connections files or other recently visited content and share a link to the channel.; Add a Connections community app as a tab in your channel so that content from Files, recent updates, Highlights, or a wiki, blog, or forum are never more than a click away.

Roundtrip editing for Connections Files

If you have the HCL Connections Desktop Plug-ins for Microsoft Windows installed and configured, you can check out a file, edit it locally with up to the latest versions of Microsoft Office, and then check it back into Connections. See Editing a Connections file in Microsoft Office.

Add SharePoint to your community

Add the SharePoint app to a community for convenient access to Microsoft SharePoint documents and folders.

Export and print content as .pdf

Turn your Connections content into a .pdf file for easy distribution and printing. For example, export individual pages from a standalone wiki, or export an entire community blog. For more information, see Exporting app content as a PDF and Enabling your community's PDF export access.
