Configuring the HCL Connections™ Mail Plug-in
After installing the HCL Connections™ Mail Plug-in, you must configure additional options before it is ready to use.
Domino® only: Enabling embedded experiences
If you enable embedded experiences, HCL Connections™ Mail Plug-in users can interact with applications, such as Connections Files, from within some emails. For example, when someone shares a file with you in Connections Files, you receive an email notification. With embedded experiences, you can like or comment on that file from within the notification.

    If your environment uses both HTTP and HTTPS between your Domino servers and Connections servers, complete these steps, so you can use the Connections Mail Plug-in.

- Uninstalling the HCL Connections™ Mail Plug-in
  To uninstall the HCL Connections™ Mail Plug-in, use IBM® Installation Manager. For IBM i, uninstall manually.

Procedure

If you did not complete the steps in the following topic while installing HCL Connections, complete the following steps: Enabling email notifications in Connections.
Complete the steps in the following topic: Configuring Domino® to send and receive mail over SMTP.
Complete all steps in the following topic: Configuring WebSphere® Application Server for email notification replies.
After the preceding steps are complete, Connections Mail Plug-in users must change their Connections preferences to receive notifications. For more information, see Setting email notification preferences.
