Results of HCL Compass data code page selection

Assignment of the data code page value affects your databases in the following ways:

• HCL Compass does not validate the data in attachments (for example, in a Word document attached to a HCL Compass record). To include characters that are excluded from the HCL Compass data code page, you can enter them in an attachment. However, you cannot query for data stored in attachments, and reports and charts do not make use of this data.
