Administering users in a MultiSite environment

In HCL Compass MultiSite environment, changes are tracked and data corruption is prevented by means of an exclusive-right-to-modify scheme called mastership. Mastership determines when a user of a database replica is allowed to modify data.

Users, groups, and other HCL Compass objects such as records and queries are assigned a mastering replica. The initial mastering replica of a user or group is the site where the object is created.
