If you need to disable Social Commerce in WebSphere Commerce
Developer, you need to remove the Social Commerce EAR file from the
WebSphere Commerce Test Server. You must also reverse the customization
changes you made to your store.
Procedure
-
Reverse any changes that you made to your store pages where you added the Social Commerce
widget.
-
Stop the Social Commerce server.
-
Open a command line and change directory to
WCDE_installdir/workspace/SocApp
-
Issue the following command: ..\SocCore\zero stop
Note: If you get an error that says java.exe is not recognized as an internal
or external command, operable program or batch file, you can manually set
JAVA_HOME
to resolve it. For example: set
JAVA_HOME=C:\IBM\RAD80\SDP\jdk
-
Change directory to WCDE_installdir. (You delete the
SocApp directory later, so you do not want that directory to be the current
working directory in an active command-line window.)
- Remove the Social Commerce EAR file from the WebSphere
Commerce Test Server.
- Switch to the Java EE perspective.
- In the Servers view, right-click WebSphere
Commerce Test Server and select Add and remove
projects from the menu.
- In the Configured projects list,
select soccom and click Remove.
- Click Finish.
- Remove the SocCore, SocApp, and soccom projects.
- In Windows Explorer, if you have customizations to Social
Commerce that you want to maintain, copy WCDE_installdir/workspace/SocApp to
a different location. This new location is where your customization
is available. If you choose to re-enable social commerce in the future,
you can port the customizations from this back-up location to the SocApp directory.
The SocApp directory is created during enablement.
- Switch to the Java EE perspective.
- In the Enterprise Explorer view, right-click the SocCore project
and select Delete from the menu.
- Select the check box for Delete the project
contents on disk and click OK.
- Repeat steps c and d for the SocApp and soccom projects.
- Delete the following files:
- WCDE_installdir/properties/version/social-commerce.toolkit.70.component
- WCDE_installdir/properties/version/social-bridging.toolkit.70.component
- WCDE_installdir/properties/version/fep.wc.tk.social-commerce.component
What to do next
If they are not already enabled, three other features are
automatically enabled when you enable Social Commerce. If you want
to uninstall the feature pack, in addition to disabling social-commerce,
you must disable store-enhancements, management-center, and foundation.
