Disabling Social Commerce in the runtime environment

If you need to disable Social Commerce in the runtime environment, you must uninstall the application from your WebSphere Application Server. You must also reverse the customization changes you made to your store.

Before you begin

Your WebSphere Commerce server is started.
Attention: WebSphere Commerce does not support rolling back to use the database repository after you configure WebSphere Commerce to use an LDAP repository.

Procedure

  1. Reverse any changes that you made to your store pages where you added the Social Commerce widget.
  2. Open the .
  3. Select Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications
  4. Select the WC_instance_name_soccom application. Click Uninstall.
  5. On the Uninstall application panel, click OK.
  6. Save changes made to the administrative configuration.
  7. Delete the following files:
    • WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/properties/version/social-commerce.server.70.component
    • WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/properties/version/social-commerce.toolkit.70.component
    • Introduced in Feature Pack 2WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/properties/version/social-bridging.server.70.component

What to do next

If they are not already enabled, three other features are automatically enabled when you enable Social Commerce. If you want to uninstall the feature pack, in addition to disabling social-commerce, you must disable store-enhancements, management-center, and foundation.
