Components

Virtual Endpoint Manager has the following components:

Server: The BigFix server is a database that communicates with the relays and the BigFix console to manage the devices in your deployment.

Relay: Relays are network components that distribute the download burden from the BigFix server and compile and compress data received from clients.

Management Extenders: Management Extenders allow devices to be managed without an agent on the device. Management extenders communicate to the VMware vCenter by translating BigFix content to VMware commands that are accepted by the VMware vCenter.
