ELK Configurations
Before configuring ELK on Unica Discover, there are some prerequisites:

      You can start and stop the FileBeat service and the WinLogBeat service.

      The Discover installer installs the beats to all the components, but you must configure it and start it from Manage Services in the portal. WinLogBeat service is applicable only to Microsoft Windows-based machines or servers.
    - Accessing ELK Dashboards
      A new menu item, named System Logs, is introduced to access ELK Dashboards.
    - Providing ELK Dashboards access Non-admin Users
      By default, the Administrator has access to all the Dashboards, including the Kibana Dashboards, introduced as part of ELK integration.
    - Verifying the Revisions in FileBeat Service and WinLogBeat Service
      After running the FileBeat Service or the WinLogBeat Service, you can compare the revisions between the new revision and the earlier revision.

Configuring ELK

The Discover installation handles the installation and basic configuration of ELK, its components, and its services.

About this task

To customize the configurations, complete the following steps:

Procedure

From the Discover portal, navigate to Discover > Manage Services.
The Discover Services Management page appears.
From the WorldView tab, expand the Master server node and expand the Discover node.
Select Discover global configuration settings.
Click View/Edit.
The Discover global configuration settings dialog appears.
If required, you can customize the following details:
- Discover Log Directory
- Elastic Search SSL
  - 1 - if SSL or HTTPS protocol is used to configure ELK
  - 0 - if no SSL is used to configure ELK
- Elastic Search Server - Required for configuring the Elastic Search Server IP address. For example, 10.134.45.78.
- Elastic Search Server Port - 9200
- Kibana Server Port - 5601
If you make changes, click Save.
Click Add Tasks and Submit.
