DNCA Web Console - Interface Tab

In the Interface tab, you can configure the number of instances of the Unica Discover Network Capture Application and the trafficking rules for sending data to each instance.

Note: You can configure the DNCA Web Console to accept IPv6 addresses by default. See Supported Browsers for DNCA Web Console.
Note: After you save changes in the Interface tab, a manual restart of the DNCA is required. See DNCA web Console - Console Tab.

The Network Capture Application can be configured to support transparent load balancing or you can disable load balancing and use the legacy method of capturing network traffic. For more information about the benefits of transparent load balancing, see DNCA Transparent Load Balancing Overview. If you want to configure your DNCA to use transparent load balancing, see Configuring the DNCA Interface with Transparent Load Balancing. Configuring the DNCA Interface without Transparent Load Balancing

From the top of the page, you can select the view for the page.

  • To configure individual instances of the Unica Discover Network Capture Application, click View Instances. See View Instances.
  • To edit data filters for each instance, click Edit Filters. See Edit Filters.
  • To review and edit the interface that is tuning parameters, click Tuning Parameters. See Tuning Parameters.

Traffic Segmentation: Through the Interface tab, you can segment the traffic to multiple instances of the Unica Discover Network Capture Application. The following two methods are available for segmenting traffic to distribute traffic load:

Configuring the DNCA Interface with Transparent Load Balancing
