Using the interactive HFZS subsystem interface

The HFZS Subsystem Information option displays the status of the HFZS subsystem.

This display is shown as the result of entering the HFZSINFO primary command, or selecting Services > HFZS Subsystem Information from the action bar.

If the HFZS subsystem has not been started, or is not responding as expected, then specific information about the subsystem status is displayed.

Otherwise, the following information is displayed:
Started Task Name / Job Name
The name of the HFZS subsystem started task or job.
ASID
The started task or job hexadecimal address space identifier.
Dispatching Priority
The HFZS subsystem dispatching priority.
User ID
The user ID associated with the HFZS subsystem.
PARM Field Options in Effect
The options in effect for the HFZS subsystem. These are either default values or are specified in the PARM field of the started task or job.
Version
The HFZS subsystem version, release, and maintenance level.
Licensed
Indicates whether the Z Abend Investigator license is valid (Yes) or not (No). To refresh the license check, place the cursor on the "Update" point-and-shoot field and press Enter.
Two selectable options provide additional information:
  1. Managed History Files

    Lists the history files that are currently managed by the HFZS subsystem.

  2. Excluded History Files

    Lists the history files that are currently excluded by the HFZS subsystem.
