Using Linux as a VOB server

If you use Linux as a VOB server, you may receive intermittent error messages from HCL VersionVault because of NFS caching issues in the Linux operating system. In most cases, when you perform the same HCL VersionVault operation again, it succeeds.

The configurations listed below are less likely to experience these problems:
  • Remote Linux VOB server and a local Windows view server and client using the VersionVault File Service protocol, where remote refers to a separate host and local refers to the same host.
  • Local Linux view server and client.
