Verify that the required Linux software packages are installed

Instructions for verifying whether the required software packages are installed on your system depend on which version of Linux you are running.

Note: On all versions of Linux, the name of the required packages might vary slightly, depending on your particular kernel variant. For example, you might see these substrings in the package names:
  • smp
  • default
  • bigmem
  • hugememu
