An export operation can fail when attempting to access an element that is being modified by a user.

You would receive a message like this:

multitool: Error: Type manager "z_text_file_delta" failed
construct_version operation.
multitool: Error: Could not get statistics of the version data file for
this operation.
multitool: Error: Synchronization update terminated prematurely due to
error -- aborting.

In this case, retry the export.
