Offer object type

Depending on whether you only installed HCL® Marketing Operations or if you integrated HCL Campaign, you have different options for offer objects.

If your installation contains only Marketing Operations, your system administrators can set up a custom marketing object type to represent offers or promotions. However, if Marketing Operations is integrated with Campaign, your installation includes a system-provided marketing object named "offer."

When Marketing Operations is integrated with Campaign, there are two options for offer management:

  • If your system is configured with optional offer integration enabled, offers are managed through Marketing Operations: you use the Offers option from the Operations menu. For information about creating offers in this way, see the HCL Marketing Operations and Campaign Integration Guide.
  • If your system is configured so that offer integration is not enabled, offers are managed through Campaign: you use the Offers option from the Campaign menu. For information about creating offers in this way, see the "Offers" chapter in the HCL Campaign User Guide.

Ask your system administrator about how your system is configured for offer management.
