Verifying the Marketing Operations upgrade

You must upgrade and deploy the Marketing Platform before you upgrade Marketing Operations.

About this task

Complete the following steps to verify the upgrade:

Procedure

  1. Review the log files in the WAS_Profile_Home/logs/server1 directory for error messages. The message "UAPContext Init failed" indicates that the upgrade did not complete successfully.
  2. Use Internet Explorer or another supported browser to access the HCL® Marketing Software URL.
  3. Navigate to different Marketing Operations features, including the asset file.
  4. Create instances of different Marketing Operations objects, including plans, programs, projects, and your own custom marketing object types.
  5. Select Settings > Marketing Operations Settings > Template Configuration and then click Validate Templates.
  6. If your installation customizes Marketing Operations with the application programming interface, verify that your customizations are not affected by compatibility issues.
  7. If you use trigger procedures, restore them.
