Upgrading the Multi Partition Utility for Linux Docker
To update the multi partition for Linux follow these steps:
- Copy the hl8455.csv file to this location: hip-server:/usr/local/hl8455.csv.
- Execute the admin tool
command:
docker exec -it hip-server java -classpath /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/tx-server/WEBINF/ classes:/usr/local/tomcat/webapps/tx-server/WEB-INF/lib/*com.hcl.tx.server.tools.AdminTool updateconnectionpartition -accountname Default -name _app_testunica -username admin -email admin@example.com -path /usr/local/hl8455.csv
- Use the
updateconnectionpartition
operation to update the connection partition for the first time.
Important: Make sure that you have the connection and
partition data prepared in a csv format. For example:
csvheader:
connectionName
and partitionName

To update the multi partition for Windows follow these steps:
- Copy the CSV file to the link installation directory. For example, C:\HCL\Link_10.9.9.
- Set the
DTXHOME
to the link installation home directory. For example, C:\HCL\Link_10.9.9. - Set the
JAVA_HOME
to the JRE home directory. For example: %DTXHOME%\java. - Make sure that the PATH includes %DTXHOME% and %JAVA_HOME\bin%.
- Go to the Tomcat installation directory and navigate to webapps\tx-server\WEB-INF\classes subdirectory.
- Set the
commands:
set CLASSPATH=.;..\lib* java com.hcl.tx.server.tools.AdminTool updateconnectionpartition -accountname Default -name _app_testunica -username admin -email admin@example.com -path C:\HCLLink_10.9.9\filename.csv
Upgrading the Multi Partition Utility for Linux Native
To update the multi partition for Linux Native follow these steps:
- Copy the csv to the link installation directory. For example: /opt/hcl/hip.
- Set the
DTXHOME
to the link installation home directory. For example: /opt/hcl/hip. - Set the
JAVA_HOME
to the JRE home directory. For example: $DTXHOME/java. - Make sure that the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
includes $DTXHOME/libs. - Make sure that the
PATH
includes $JAVA_HOME/bin. - Go to the Tomcat installation directory and navigate to webapps/tx-server/WEB-INF/classes subdirectory.
- Set the
commands:
export CLASSPATH=.;..\lib* java com.hcl.tx.server.tools.AdminTool updateconnectionpartition -accountname Default -name _app_testunica -username admin -email admin@example.com -path C:\HCL\Link_10.9.9\filename.csv

command:
