Creating an OLT only for testing transactional message
A recipient list in the form of an Output List Table (OLT) is not required for use with transactional communication. However, you can create an OLT that contains test addresses to test the appearance and personalization of a transactional message.
About this task
When you enable a standard mailing for transactional message, you must configure corporate transactional applications to provide recipient information. However, to test the mailing, you can reference an OLT that is used only for testing.
To create the OLT, you must run a Campaign flowchart that contains a Deliver process. The process must be configured to select input cells that contain test recipient addresses or phone numbers. The IDs for the test recipients are not added to the OLT until you perform a production run of the flowchart. You must avoid selecting production recipients during testing.
After you specify test input cells, you can use Output tab of the Deliver process to map other recipient-specific data to the OLT. Consult with the members of the digital marketing team responsible for testing to determine the specific recipient data that is required to test the transactional message.
Procedure
- In a Campaign flowchart that contains a Deliver process, define a cell that specifies one or more test recipients that receive messages when you test the transactional message.

In the flowchart, open the Deliver process and select the
Source tab.

In the Test List field, select the cell that contains
the IDs of the test recipients.
Important: Do not select cells that contain production recipients. Clear cells that are specified in the Production List field.
- Save your changes and perform a production run of the flowchart.
