Creating a message in a campaign

You create a Deliver message by adding a message to a campaign in Unica Campaign. You can create multiple messages within a campaign, and you can create messages in more than one campaign.

About this task

When you enable Unica Deliver, the Campaign interface adds a link that you can use add a message to a campaign. Each message that you add appears as a separate tab in the campaign.

When you add the message, you must assign a unique name to the message and save it. When you save the message, Campaign creates a separate message tab in the campaign interface. The mailing tab displays in edit mode. Deliver does not provide an option to save the message without opening the messaging configuration. You must open the new message for editing on the mailing tab, even if you make no changes to the configuration.

Procedure

  1. In Campaign, open the campaign to which you want to add the mailing.
  2. On the campaign summary tab, click Add MessagesAt @ sign pointing to envelope with plus sign image.
  3. On the page that displays for the new mailing, assign a name to the mailing.

    The name must be unique within the campaign.

  4. In the Channel field, select required channel type (SMS, email, Push, or WhatsApp).
  5. Click Save and Edit .

Results

When you save the mailing, the Mailing tab displays in edit mode.

What to do next

You can continue to configure the mailing, or you can close the mailing and return to finish the configuration later.

Use the Edit Mailing tab to configure the message, monitor mailing status, start mailing runs, or enable the mailing for scheduled or transactional messages.

On the Messaging Overview page, you can view and manage all of the messages that you create in the Campaign installation. This page lists all of the messages that have been created by all users across all campaigns in your Campaign installation.
