Registering IBM eMessage manually

During the installation process. if the IBM eMessage installer cannot access the Unica Platform system tables, you must run the configTool utility to register it manually.

About this task

By default, the Unica Campaign installer automatically registers IBM eMessage with the Unica Platform system tables without enabling IBM eMessage. In some situations, the Unica Campaign installer does not connect with the Unica Platform system tables to automatically register IBM eMessage.

If the installer does not register IBM eMessage automatically, you must register IBM eMessage manually with the configTool utility that is provided with the Unica installation. The configTool utility is in the tools\bin directory under your Unica Platform installation.

To register IBM eMessage manually, use the following command to run the configTool utility:

configTool -r eMessage -f "full_path_to_eMessage_installation_directory\conf\emessage_configuration.xml"

The IBM eMessage installation directory is a subdirectory of the Unica Campaign installation directory.
